![]() Those rising rents follow the nationwide trend.Īccording to Statista, the average monthly rent for manufactured housing in the U.S. Lund received another notice on his door that the rent would be increased to $506 on December 15, 2022. Lund said the rent gradually increased to $285 before Havenpark bought it, after which he said he came home to find a notice on his door that said Golfview was under new management and that rent would increase to $450. After Havenpark Communities purchased Golfview in 2019, he paid over $400. When Don Lund moved into Golfview Mobile Home Court in North Liberty in 1980, lot rent was $87 - $334 if adjusted for inflation today. The Daily Iowan chose to keep his comments in the article. When I submitted my two weeks' notice I asked for an exit interview to discuss my perspective. Thus, the sales/leasing team were on their way out the door when I left. We had no homes for my sales team, who make their commissions on home sales. ![]() They were caught flat footed with the home setting costs and the unanticipated electrical problems with the pedestals. This was the last straw for me, once they let go of the groundskeeper. My site was 500 lots so quite large for an additional responsibility. ![]() FYI: Also, be prepared to take on the groundskeeper responsibilities if you are hired as the manager, if there is no groundskeeper. Due to the poor pay it took them 5 months to hire the 1st groundskeeper, and two more months to hire the sales/leasing team. When I was hired the property was to be staffed 2 groundskeepers, and 2 sales/leasing people. The system should not be this hard and it just wastes everyone's time, and they do like to waste time on endless conference calls as well. The AP system is so hard to learn/navigate it takes 3 weekly conference calls to get Managers thru the AP process. The interview process is lengthy, and you must give a presentation to the leadership team on Zoom before being hired on.Ī few bad things. They start you out with plenty of time off and a 6% 401K match. ![]()
